A Note Before You Order

Select the correct motor voltage and power configuration before purchasing. For a 115V installation, the distance from the main breaker to the fountain must remain within the applicable cable length limits. If the required distance exceeds the 115V limit, select a 230V motor configuration. A GFCI is required, and the manufacturer recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor. Always disconnect power when swimmers are present.

Scott Aerator Jet Stream Fountain For Medium, Residential Ponds

The Jet Stream Fountain creates a tall, narrow column of water that rises vertically from the surface of the pond. Its focused spray pattern provides a strong visual centerpiece while helping circulate water and increase oxygen exchange at the surface.

The medium residential version is available with 3/4 HP, 1 HP, and 1-1/2 HP motor configurations. Depending on the motor, the fountain produces flow rates from 65 to 90 gallons per minute and spray heights from 25 to 50 feet. The oil-free stainless steel submersible motor is designed for continuous operation and can be used in both fresh and salt water.

Configuration Guide

Jet Stream 3/4 HP

Available in 115V or 230V with a 65 GPM flow rate. The 3/4 HP model requires a minimum pond depth of 36 inches and produces a spray pattern approximately 25 feet high.

The 3/4 HP motor operates at 3,450 RPM and is rated at 0.55 kW.

Jet Stream 1 HP

Available in 115V or 230V with a 75 GPM flow rate. The 1 HP model requires a minimum pond depth of 44 inches and produces a spray pattern approximately 30 feet high.

The 1 HP motor operates at 3,450 RPM and is rated at 0.75 kW.

Jet Stream 1-1/2 HP

Available in 230V with a 90 GPM flow rate. The 1-1/2 HP model requires a minimum pond depth of 50 inches and produces a spray pattern approximately 50 feet high.

The 1-1/2 HP motor operates at 3,450 RPM and is rated at 1.1 kW.

Installation & Assembly

Included Components

The fountain assembly includes the float platform, pump assembly, stainless steel filter, stainless steel bolts, nuts, washers, and screws required for assembly.

Assembly

Attach the float to the fountain housing using the supplied stainless steel hardware. Install the stainless steel filter on the underside of the fountain and secure it with the supplied screws. Once the fountain is placed in the water, attach the fountain head and position the unit for anchoring.

Anchoring

Two nylon anchoring lines attach to the fountain's stainless steel eye bolts. The lines can be secured to shore or connected to submerged concrete blocks. The assembly instructions specify positioning two concrete blocks at least 20 feet apart. Anchoring ropes and weights are not included.

Electrical Installation

A GFCI is required for operation, and the manufacturer recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. The fountain should not be powered with an extension cord. Proper cable size and length must be selected according to the motor configuration and distance from the motor to the main power source.

Maintenance & Winter Operation

Routine Maintenance

The Jet Stream Fountain requires little routine maintenance under normal operating conditions. When the unit is removed from the water, the manufacturer recommends washing the fountain with high-pressure water and visually inspecting the unit to make sure nothing is restricting water flow.

Winter Operation

The manufacturer recommends leaving the fountain in the water during winter rather than removing it. Turn off the power supply during freezing conditions and restore power after the water thaws. The fountain components are designed to withstand sub-zero conditions without damage.

Anchoring Line Replacement

Quality nylon anchoring rope measuring 3/8 inch or thicker should be replaced every five years. Replacing the rope is also an opportunity to clean the fountain and inspect the unit for anything that could restrict water flow.
