Quick Facts
A Note Before You Order
Select the correct motor voltage and cord length for your installation. A GFCI-equipped power source is required, and Scott Aerator recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. For 115V operation, the distance from the main breaker to the fountain should not exceed 100 feet. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor, and always disconnect power when swimmers are present.
Scott Aerator Great Lakes Fountain for Medium, Residential Ponds
The Great Lakes Fountain combines pond aeration with a decorative water display. It includes five interchangeable brass nozzles, allowing you to change the appearance of the fountain without tools. The available patterns range from classic multi-tiered sprays to vertical columns and conical displays.
The medium residential model is available with a 1 HP motor in either 115V or 230V, or a 1.5 HP 230V motor. The oil-free stainless steel submersible motor is designed for continuous operation and is approved for both fresh and salt water.
The Great Lakes Fountain is also designed for year-round placement in the pond. During freezing conditions, simply turn off the power and leave the fountain in place. The components are designed to withstand sub-zero temperatures without damage.

The fountain is designed for minimal maintenance. When the unit is removed from the water, inspect the fountain and filter for debris or anything that could restrict water flow. Washing the fountain with high-pressure water is recommended during routine inspection.
Anchoring Rope Replacement
Quality nylon anchoring rope that is 3/8 inch or thicker should be replaced every five years. Inspect the anchoring system whenever the fountain is removed from the water.
Winter Operation
The fountain does not require seasonal removal for winter. Turn off the power supply and leave the fountain in the water while the pond is frozen. Once the water thaws, restore power. The manufacturer states that the components can withstand sub-zero conditions without damage.
