Choose the system configuration and voltage that match your pond size and electrical installation. The ProLake¹ system is available in 115V and 230V configurations. The installation manual should be reviewed before electrical work or system installation begins.

ProLake¹ Electric Aeration System

The ProLake¹ Electric Aeration System is designed for ponds and lakes up to 4 acres, with four configurations that provide one to four Duraplate™ diffusers. Each system uses a single 1/2 HP compressor capable of delivering up to 5.3 CFM of air, helping circulate water and add oxygen throughout the water column.

The system combines a durable sound-deadening cabinet, cooling fan, pressure gauge, adjustable four-port manifold, and programmable timer. The timer provides seven-day, 24-hour scheduling, along with manual override and power outage backup features. The ProLake¹ cabinet can also be positioned away from the water's edge when electrical access is more convenient at another location.

Configuration Guide

ProLake¹ 1.1

The 1.1 configuration uses one compressor and one Duraplate™ diffuser for ponds and lakes up to 1 acre. The diffuser can be installed at depths up to 50 feet.

The 1.1+ version includes 100 feet of 1/2-inch Alpine™ weighted airline. Both 115V and 230V configurations are available.

ProLake¹ 1.2

The 1.2 configuration uses one compressor and two Duraplate™ diffusers for ponds and lakes up to 2 acres. The diffusers can be installed at depths up to 50 feet.

The 1.2+ version includes 200 feet of 1/2-inch Alpine™ weighted airline. Both 115V and 230V configurations are available.

ProLake¹ 1.3

The 1.3 configuration uses one compressor and three Duraplate™ diffusers for ponds and lakes up to 3 acres. The diffusers can be installed at depths up to 50 feet.

The 1.3+ version includes 300 feet of 1/2-inch Alpine™ weighted airline. Both 115V and 230V configurations are available.

ProLake¹ 1.4

The 1.4 configuration uses one compressor and four Duraplate™ diffusers for ponds and lakes up to 4 acres. The diffusers can be installed at depths up to 50 feet.

The 1.4+ version includes 400 feet of 1/2-inch Alpine™ weighted airline. Both 115V and 230V configurations are available.

Installation & Assembly

System Placement

The ProLake¹ cabinet can be installed away from the water's edge where electrical service is more convenient. ProLake states that the cabinet can be positioned up to 4,000 feet away by running 1/2-inch PVC from the aeration cabinet to a remote manifold, with airline then running from the manifold to the Duraplate™ diffusers.

Diffuser Installation

The number of Duraplate™ diffusers depends on the selected configuration. The 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4 systems use one, two, three, and four diffusers respectively. Maximum diffuser depth is 50 feet.

Electrical Installation

The system is available in 115V or 230V configurations. Follow the manufacturer's electrical installation instructions and applicable electrical requirements for the selected voltage. Review the Electric Installation Manual before installation.

Maintenance & Winter Operation

Routine Maintenance

The ProLake¹ system is designed for low-maintenance operation. Keep the cabinet, cooling components, airline connections, manifold, and diffuser system clear of debris and inspect the equipment periodically according to the installation and maintenance instructions.

Winter Operation

Aeration can be used during winter to support water quality beneath the ice. Never attempt to walk on ice around an operating aeration system or assume that ice is safe because an aerator is present. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations and local safety requirements for winter operation.

Airline Maintenance

Inspect airline connections and diffuser lines periodically for damage, restrictions, or loose connections. The Alpine™ 1/2-inch weighted airline supplied with the plus configurations carries a lifetime warranty according to the manufacturer's specifications.

The ProLake¹ system carries a 2-year complete product warranty. The 115V or 230V compressor is also covered for 2 years.

Duraplate™ diffusers and Alpine™ 1/2-inch weighted airline carry lifetime warranties according to the manufacturer's specifications. Cabinet warranty terms vary by configuration, with the standard 1.1+ cabinet listed with a lifetime warranty and other listed configurations carrying a 2-year cabinet warranty.
