A Note Before You Order

The Tripod Mount is a mounting system for compatible AquaSweep and De-Icer equipment. The AquaSweep or De-Icer unit is sold separately. Extension cords must not be used, and power should always be disconnected before making adjustments or whenever swimmers are present.

Scott Aerator Tripod Mount

The Scott Aerator Tripod Mount provides a freestanding mounting solution for compatible AquaSweep and De-Icer equipment where dock mounting is not practical or available. The stainless steel platform installs directly into the ground beneath the water, allowing the equipment to be positioned away from shore and adjusted to suit the application.

The mount is designed for water depths from 12 to 72 inches and can be repositioned within reach of a suitable power source. The housing angle and direction can be adjusted to help clear muck and debris across a 360-degree area. The system is designed for use in both fresh water and salt water.

Configuration Guide

Tripod Mount

The freestanding Tripod Mount is designed for applications where a dock is not available or dock mounting is not preferred. The stainless steel tripod installs directly into the ground beneath the water.

The mount accommodates water depths from 12 inches to 72 inches and is compatible with applicable AquaSweep and De-Icer products.

Tripod Oscillator Adapter Option

An optional Tripod Oscillator Adapter can be selected with the Tripod Mount. This adapter is intended for compatible oscillator applications and is not included with the standard Tripod Mount configuration unless specifically selected.

The tripod is assembled by inserting the three stainless steel legs into the center hub and securing each leg with the supplied bolts, washers, and self-locking nuts. The manufacturer recommends completing the tripod assembly on shore before positioning it in the water.

Positioning

Position the tripod at the desired operating location and step down on each foot pad until the assembly is level. The installation guide recommends a minimum water depth of 12 inches and positioning the AquaSweep housing approximately 4 inches from the lake or pond bottom.

Direction Adjustment

The AquaSweep flow direction can be adjusted by disconnecting power, lifting the center mounting pole with the adjustment pin inserted, rotating the assembly, and lowering the adjustment pin into the desired notch on the center hub.

Electrical Connection

Power should be supplied through a standard 110/230 volt receptacle protected by a GFCI. Extension cords must not be used. Always disconnect power before making adjustments or whenever swimmers are present.

Maintenance & Operation

Position Adjustment

To change the operating height, disconnect power first, support the AquaSweep housing with the center mounting pole, remove the adjustment pin, raise or lower the assembly to the desired position, and replace the pin.

Operating Position

For optimum performance, the installation guide recommends positioning the AquaSweep housing approximately 4 inches above the bottom of the lake or pond.

Safety

Always disconnect power before making adjustments. Swimmers should not be present while the equipment is powered. Extension cords must not be used.
