A Note Before You Order

Select the correct motor voltage for your installation. Scott Aerator specifies that a 115V motor should not be more than 100 feet from the main breaker. If the distance exceeds 100 feet, select a 230V motor. A GFCI is required, and the manufacturer recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor. Always disconnect power when swimmers are present.

Scott Aerator Baystone Fountain For Small, Residential Ponds

The Baystone Fountain creates a distinctive center peak surrounded by a traditional outer spray pattern. Designed for small residential ponds, it combines a visible water display with circulation that helps support a healthy aquatic environment.

Available in 1/2 HP and 3/4 HP configurations with 115V or 230V motor options, the Baystone uses an oil-free stainless steel submersible motor and is designed for continuous operation. The fountain is approved for salt water, requires no routine motor maintenance, and can remain in the pond through winter when the power is turned off during freezing conditions.

Configuration Guide

Baystone 1/2 HP

Installation & Assembly

Included Components

The fountain assembly includes the float platform, pump assembly, stainless steel filter, two stainless steel bolts with nuts and washers, and three stainless steel screws.

Assembly

The float platform is secured to the fountain housing with the supplied hardware. The stainless steel filter is installed beneath the unit using the supplied screws. Once the fountain is placed in the water, the Baystone fountain head is screwed into position.

Anchoring

Two nylon anchoring ropes attach to the stainless steel eye bolts. The fountain can be secured to shore or anchored with two concrete blocks submerged at least 20 feet apart. Anchoring ropes and weights are not included.

Electrical Installation

A GFCI is required for operation, and the installation instructions recommend using a licensed electrical contractor. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor. Always disconnect power when swimmers are present.

Maintenance & Winter Operation

Routine Maintenance

The fountain requires little routine maintenance. When the unit is removed from the water, the manufacturer recommends washing it with high-pressure water and visually inspecting the fountain to make sure nothing is restricting water flow.

Winter Operation

The fountain is designed to remain in the water during winter. Turn off the power supply during freezing conditions and restore power after the water thaws. The manufacturer states that the components can withstand sub-zero conditions without damage. Removing the fountain for winter can allow the pump seals to dry out.

Anchoring Rope Replacement

Quality nylon anchoring rope that is 3/8 inch or thicker should be replaced every five years. This is also a good opportunity to clean and inspect the fountain for debris or restrictions to water flow.

Warranty

5-Year Motor Warranty

The motor is covered by a 5-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions.

Other product components are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
