A Note Before You Order

Select the correct motor voltage and power configuration before purchasing. A GFCI is required for installation, and the manufacturer recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. Always disconnect power when swimmers are present.

The Baystone uses an oil-free stainless steel submersible motor and is available in 115V or 230V configurations. It is designed for continuous operation, requires a minimum pond depth of 44 inches, and can be used in both fresh and salt water. Optional light kits can also be added to the fountain at purchase or later.

The 230V configuration uses a 1 HP oil-free submersible motor with an 8.2-amp current draw and a 75 GPM flow rate.

A 100-foot, 12-gauge submersible power cord is supplied. Longer power cord lengths can be ordered when required for the installation.

Installation & Assembly

Included Components

The assembly includes the float platform, pump assembly, stainless steel filter, stainless steel bolts, nuts, washers, and stainless steel screws required for assembly.

Assembly

The fountain is assembled by securing the float platform to the housing, installing the stainless steel filter, and attaching the anchoring lines to the stainless steel eye bolts. Once the fountain is placed in the water, the fountain head is screwed into position.

Anchoring

Two nylon anchoring lines attach to the fountain's stainless steel eye bolts. The lines can be secured to shore or connected to two concrete blocks or other suitable weighted anchors positioned at least 20 feet apart. Anchoring lines and weights are not included.

Electrical Installation

A GFCI is required for operation, and the manufacturer recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. The motor must be connected using the appropriate cable size and length for the selected voltage. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor.

Maintenance & Winter Operation

Routine Maintenance

The Baystone requires very little routine maintenance under normal operating conditions. When the fountain is removed from the water, the manufacturer recommends washing it with high-pressure water and inspecting the complete unit to make sure nothing is restricting water flow.

Anchoring Line Replacement

Quality nylon anchoring rope that is 3/8 inch or thicker should be replaced every five years. This provides an opportunity to inspect and clean the fountain at the same time.

Winter Operation

The manufacturer recommends leaving the Baystone in the water during winter rather than removing it. Turn off the power supply during freezing conditions and restore power once the water thaws. The fountain components are designed to withstand sub-zero conditions without damage.

Warranty

5-Year Motor Warranty

The Baystone motor is covered by a 5-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions.

Other product components are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
