Quick Facts
A Note Before You Order
The AquaSweep Max operates on standard 230V power and requires a GFCI-protected circuit. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor. Always disconnect power when swimmers are present. The AquaSweep Max is designed for open-water applications and is not intended for dock mounting.
Scott Aerator AquaSweep® Max Muck Mover
The AquaSweep® Max is a high-powered water propulsion system designed to move muck, sediment, weeds, algae, and floating debris away from swimming areas, docks, boat lifts, and shoreline spaces. Its 1½ HP motor produces a 600 GPM flow rate, giving the unit the power needed for larger open-water cleanup applications.
Mounted on a freestanding tripod, the AquaSweep Max can be positioned and adjusted to direct water where it is needed. The unit uses an oil-free stainless steel submersible motor with a debris shield that helps protect the moving components from grasses, weeds, and other material. It is designed for continuous operation and can be used in both fresh and salt water.
AquaSweep Max Configuration
1½ HP AquaSweep Max
The AquaSweep Max uses a 1½ HP, 230V oil-free motor operating at 3,450 RPM and producing approximately 600 gallons per minute.
The unit is supplied with a freestanding tripod configuration for open-water positioning and provides a flow distance of up to 100 feet.
Directional Adjustment
The AquaSweep Max can be pointed in the desired direction to move muck, sediment, floating algae, weeds, and debris away from a targeted area.
The housing angle can also be adjusted to direct the water flow according to the conditions and cleanup area.
Optional Oscillator
An optional oscillator attachment can automatically rotate the AquaSweep in programmed increments, helping cover a wider area without requiring manual repositioning.
Specifications & Details
Installation & Assembly
Freestanding Tripod
The AquaSweep Max is designed for freestanding open-water installation. The supplied tripod assembly provides a stable platform for positioning the unit in the water and directing the flow toward the desired cleanup area.
Directional Positioning
Position the AquaSweep to direct the water flow toward the muck, sediment, weeds, algae, or floating debris that needs to be moved. The housing angle can be adjusted to suit the application.
Electrical Installation
Connect the unit to a 230V receptacle protected by a GFCI. Extension cords must not be used to supply power to the motor. Always disconnect power when swimmers are present.
Safety & Compliance
A GFCI is required. The AquaSweep Max is ARL-tested and designed to comply with applicable UL standards and the National Electric Code when installed as a complete package.
Maintenance & Winter Operation
Routine Maintenance
The AquaSweep Max requires little to no routine maintenance under normal operating conditions. When the unit is removed from the water, washing it with high-pressure water and visually checking the unit for anything restricting water flow is recommended.
Propeller Replacement
The manufacturer recommends replacing the AquaSweep propeller assembly approximately every three years. This service can be performed on-site and provides an opportunity to clean and inspect the unit.
Winter Operation
The AquaSweep can be operated throughout the year or unplugged and left installed during winter. If the unit is removed from the pond or lake, the manufacturer recommends storing the pump submerged in a 5-gallon bucket of water to help protect the pump seals.
Warranty
5-Year Motor Warranty
The AquaSweep Max motor is covered by an unconditional 5-year warranty from Scott Aerator Company.
Scott Aerator also states that the AquaSweep Max is eligible for a 30-day return for a full refund less shipping costs, subject to the manufacturer's return terms.
