Proper placement of the solar panels is important, as the panels should have access to sunlight throughout the day. ProLake Solaer 2.0 Solar Aeration System

The ProLake Solaer 2.0 is a solar-powered lake bed aeration system built for ponds and lakes where electrical power is not available or solar operation is preferred. The system uses solar panels, battery storage, EcoFlow compressors, cooling fans, a programmable timer, and adjustable manifolds to deliver compressed air to submerged diffusers.

Lake bed aeration circulates water from the bottom of the pond or lake and helps increase dissolved oxygen while reducing water stratification. The Solaer 2.0 can be configured with three diffusers for ponds up to 3 acres or four diffusers for ponds up to 4 acres.

The system stores solar energy in its battery bank for operation during nighttime hours and periods of reduced sunlight. Its EcoFlow compressors provide up to 2.0 CFM, while the Duraplate diffusers are designed for continuous underwater aeration with a maximum diffuser depth of 25 feet.

The three-diffuser configuration is designed for ponds and lakes up to 3 acres. It uses two EcoFlow 24V compressors and delivers air through three Duraplate diffusers.

Solaer 2.4

The four-diffuser configuration is designed for ponds and lakes up to 4 acres. It uses two EcoFlow 24V compressors and delivers air through four Duraplate diffusers.

The maximum diffuser depth is 25 feet, with up to 2.0 CFM of air output from the system.

Weighted Airline Option

Alpine 1/2-inch self-weighted tubing is available for the system. The weighted tubing helps keep the airline positioned along the pond or lake bottom.

Installation & Assembly

Solar Panel Placement

Install the solar panels in a location with clear access to sunlight from sun-up to sun-down. Proper solar exposure allows the panels to charge the battery system used for nighttime and reduced-sunlight operation.

Diffuser Installation

The Duraplate diffusers are installed on the pond or lake bottom and connected to the Solaer cabinet using the air tubing. The system supports diffuser placement at depths up to 25 feet.

Equipment Cabinet

The compressors, batteries, controls, cooling fan, adjustable manifolds, and Solaer Aeration Monitoring System are housed inside the sound-deadening cabinet. A Level-Aer equipment pad is recommended for the cabinet and is not included.

Mounting

Follow the installation manual for solar panel mounting, cabinet placement, airline routing, diffuser placement, manifold connections, and system setup.

Maintenance & Operation

Solar Operation

During daylight hours, the solar panels provide energy for the system while charging the battery bank. Stored energy allows the aeration system to continue operating during nighttime hours and periods of reduced sunlight.

Air Intake Filter

Keep the air intake filter clean and follow the installation and maintenance documentation for inspection and replacement intervals.

Diffuser Maintenance

The Duraplate diffusers are designed for self-cleaning operation. Inspect the diffuser system and airline connections as part of routine equipment checks.
