A Note Before You Order

Choose the correct Solaer configuration for your pond size. The 1.1 configuration uses one Duraplate™ diffuser for ponds up to 1 acre, while the 1.2 configuration uses two Duraplate™ diffusers for ponds up to 2 acres. The solar panel should be installed where it can receive direct sunlight throughout the day. A 2-inch Schedule 40 mounting pole is required for the solar panel and is not included with the system.

ProLake Solaer® 1.0 Solar Aeration System

The ProLake Solaer® 1.0 is a solar-powered lake bed aeration system designed for ponds and lakes where electrical power is unavailable or where solar operation is preferred. The system uses a high-efficiency solar panel, battery backup, EcoFlow™ 24V compressor, programmable timer, cooling fan, and adjustable manifold inside a sound-deadening cabinet.

The Solaer 1.0 is available in configurations for ponds up to 1 acre or 2 acres. Compressed air is delivered through Duraplate™ diffusers positioned on the pond bottom, creating circulation through the water column while adding oxygen to the water. Battery backup allows the system to continue operating after sunlight is no longer available and provides an average of up to 20 hours of runtime day and night.

Configuration Guide

Solaer 1.1

The Solaer 1.1 configuration includes one EcoFlow™ 24V compressor and one Duraplate™ diffuser. It is designed for ponds and lakes up to 1 acre.

Maximum diffuser depth is 25 feet, with up to 2.0 CFM of airflow. The standard configuration includes two 12V deep cycle AGM 115 AH batteries and one 24V solar panel.

Solaer 1.2

The Solaer 1.2 configuration includes one EcoFlow™ 24V compressor and two Duraplate™ diffusers. It is designed for ponds and lakes up to 2 acres.

Maximum diffuser depth is 25 feet, with up to 2.0 CFM of airflow. The system uses the same 24V solar power platform and two 12V deep cycle AGM 115 AH batteries.

Solaer 1.1+ and 1.2+

The plus configurations include Alpine™ 1/2-inch weighted airline. The 1.1+ configuration includes one 100-foot roll for its single diffuser, while the 1.2+ configuration includes two 100-foot rolls for its two-diffuser setup.

Installation & Assembly

Solar Panel Installation

The solar panel should be positioned in an area that receives sunlight from sun-up to sun-down. A 2-inch Schedule 40 mounting pole is required and is not included with the system. The installation guide provides instructions for securing the pole and mounting the solar panel.

Cabinet Placement

The Solaer cabinet should be positioned on a stable, level surface near the pond while allowing the solar panel to be installed in an unobstructed location. A Level-Aer™ equipment pad is recommended but is not included.

Diffuser Installation

Duraplate™ diffusers are installed on the pond bottom and connected to the cabinet through the air line. The Solaer system supports diffuser placement to a maximum depth of 25 feet.

Airline Configuration

The 1.1+ system includes one 100-foot roll of Alpine™ weighted airline, while the 1.2+ system includes two 100-foot rolls. Standard 1.1 and 1.2 configurations do not include the Alpine weighted airline.

Maintenance & Operation

Solar Operation

The Solaer system uses solar energy to charge its battery supply during daylight hours. The battery backup allows the compressor to continue operating after sunlight is no longer available and provides an average of up to 20 hours of runtime day and night.

Programmable Timer

The built-in programmable timer allows the aeration schedule to be adjusted for the pond's operating needs. The system can also be manually controlled when needed.

Compressor & Cooling

The EcoFlow™ 24V compressor is housed inside the cabinet with an air intake filter and cooling fan. Keeping the intake area clear helps maintain proper airflow through the system.

Diffuser Maintenance

Duraplate™ diffusers are designed for self-cleaning, non-clogging operation. Inspect the diffuser and airline periodically as part of routine system maintenance.

Warranty

Solaer 1.0 Warranty Coverage

The complete Solaer product is covered by a 2-year warranty. The cabinet and EcoFlow™ 24V compressor are also covered for 2 years.

The solar panel carries a 25-year warranty, while the Duraplate™ diffuser and Alpine™ self-weighted tubing carry lifetime warranties according to the product data sheet.
