Quick Facts
A Note Before You Order
The Shallow Water Adapter is designed for use with Scott Aerator equipment only. The adapter does not include a fountain or aerator, which must be purchased separately.
All shallow water base purchases require the customer's existing unit to be shipped to Scott Aerator with a repair request so the adapter can be properly fitted.
Scott Aerator Shallow Water Adapter for Shallow Ponds
The Scott Aerator Shallow Water Adapter allows compatible fountain and aerator systems to operate in ponds and lakes where water depth is limited. Designed for installations as shallow as 28 inches, the adapter provides a practical solution for bringing water movement and aeration to shallow-water locations.
The adapter is available in versions for Scott Aerator fountains and aerators. The aerator version is compatible with the DA-20, North Star, and Boilermaker product lines and includes a stainless steel debris shield. The fountain version includes a stainless steel filter basket.
The adapter can help maintain water circulation and oxygenation in shallow areas while allowing fountain systems to create a continuous water display. The fountain or aerator itself is not included with the adapter.

Specifications & Details
Installation & Assembly
Kit Components
The assembly instructions list the float platform, motor/pump assembly, fountain nozzle for fountain models, stainless steel filters or debris shields, stainless steel bolts, nuts, washers, and screws as kit components. Hardware varies by the selected configuration.
Assembly
The assembly process includes positioning the float over the discharge port, securing the float with the supplied hardware, installing the stainless steel filter or debris shield, and attaching the fountain head where applicable.
Anchoring
The assembly instructions call for nylon anchoring ropes to be attached to the stainless steel eye bolts. For the fountain assembly, the ropes are secured to four 8 x 8 x 16 inch cinder blocks submerged at least 12 feet apart.
Electrical Installation
Electrical installation requires a ground fault circuit interrupter and the manufacturer recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. An extension cord should not be used to supply power to the motor.
Maintenance & Winter Operation
Routine Maintenance
The manufacturer describes its water features as requiring little routine maintenance. When the unit is removed from the water, it is recommended to wash it with high-pressure water and inspect the entire fountain or aerator for debris or anything restricting water flow.
Anchoring Rope
Quality nylon anchoring rope measuring 3/8 inch or thicker should be replaced every five years. The manufacturer recommends inspecting the anchoring system whenever the unit is removed from the water.
Winter Operation
The manufacturer recommends leaving the unit in the water during winter rather than removing it. Turn the power supply off while the water is frozen and restore power after the water thaws. The manufacturer states that the components are designed to withstand sub-zero conditions.
Warranty
5-Year Motor Warranty
Standard Scott Aerator products are covered by a five-year warranty against motor defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions.
Other product components are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of purchase, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
