A Note Before You Order

Select the correct motor voltage for your installation. For proper operation of a 115V motor, the distance from the main breaker to the fountain or aerator must not exceed 100 feet. If the distance is greater than 100 feet, select a 230V motor. A GFCI is required, and power must always be disconnected when swimmers are present.

Scott Aerator Gusher Fountain For Medium, Residential Ponds

The Gusher Fountain creates a tall, dense column of water in a cascading pattern designed to remain visible in windy conditions. The medium residential models are available with ¾ HP, 1 HP, and 1½ HP motors, producing spray heights from 18 to 30 feet depending on the selected configuration.

The fountain's rapid water movement helps circulate and oxygenate the pond while supporting water clarity and a healthy aquatic environment. Its stainless steel, oil-free submersible motor is designed for continuous operation with no oil changes, no control box, and no routine maintenance required. Optional light kits can also be added to extend the fountain display into the evening.

Installation & Assembly

Easy Installation

The Gusher Fountain is designed for straightforward installation in the pond. The fountain is secured in position using two nylon anchoring ropes connected to weighted anchors or concrete blocks on the pond bottom.

Anchoring

Two nylon ropes are required for anchoring and are attached to the fountain. The required anchor weights depend on the motor configuration. Two 20-pound weights or concrete blocks are required for the ¾ HP model, two 35-pound weights for the 1 HP model, and two 45-pound weights for the 1½ HP model. Anchoring ropes and weights are not included.

Electrical Installation

A GFCI is required for operation. Select the correct voltage before installation, and always disconnect power whenever swimmers are present. The manufacturer specifies that 115V installations should not exceed 100 feet between the main breaker and the fountain or aerator.

Maintenance & Winter Operation

Routine Maintenance

The Gusher Fountain uses an oil-free, stainless steel submersible motor and is designed to operate without routine maintenance. There is no oil to change and no control box required.

Winter Operation

The fountain can remain in the pond during winter. Shut off the power during freezing conditions and restore power after the ice thaws. The manufacturer states that Scott Aerator fountains are designed to withstand sub-zero temperatures without damage.

Salt Water Use

The Gusher Fountain is approved for use in salt water as well as fresh water, making it suitable for a range of pond and water-feature environments.

Warranty

5-Year Motor Warranty
