Quick Facts
A Note Before You Order
Select the correct motor voltage and power configuration for your installation. A GFCI is required, and Scott Aerator recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. For a 115V motor, the distance from the main breaker to the fountain must not exceed 100 feet. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor. Always disconnect power when swimmers are present.
Scott Aerator Clover Fountain for Small, Residential Ponds
The Clover Fountain creates a distinctive water display with a tall central plume surrounded by four angled side jets. Together, the brass nozzles form a clover-like spray pattern that adds movement, sound, and visual interest to smaller residential ponds.
The 1/2 HP model produces a spray pattern up to 20 feet high and 30 feet wide while moving approximately 60 gallons of water per minute. The fountain also promotes water circulation and oxygen transfer, helping support healthier pond conditions.
An oil-free stainless steel submersible motor eliminates the need for oil changes and routine motor maintenance. The Clover Fountain is designed for continuous operation and can be used in both fresh and salt water. Optional LED light kits can also be added for nighttime illumination.
Configuration Guide
Clover Fountain 1/2 HP 115V
The 1/2 HP 115V configuration uses a 60 Hz, single-phase, 3,450 RPM oil-free motor with a 60 GPM flow rate and a 70-foot, 12-gauge submersible power cord with plug.
The 115V model requires a minimum pond depth of 36 inches and produces a spray pattern measuring approximately 20 feet high by 30 feet wide.
Clover Fountain 1/2 HP 230V
The 1/2 HP 230V configuration uses the same 60 Hz, single-phase, 3,450 RPM motor and 60 GPM flow rate, with a 70-foot, 12-gauge submersible power cord.
The 230V configuration is suited to installations where the distance or electrical requirements make a higher-voltage setup appropriate. The minimum pond depth remains 36 inches.
Specifications & Details
Installation & Assembly
Included Components
The fountain assembly includes the float platform, pump assembly, stainless steel filter, two stainless steel bolts, stainless steel nuts and washers, and three stainless steel screws.
Anchoring
Two nylon anchoring ropes attach to the stainless steel eye bolts. The ropes can be secured to shore or attached to two concrete blocks or suitable weights submerged at least 20 feet apart. Anchoring ropes and weights are not included.
Electrical Installation
A GFCI is required for operation. Scott Aerator recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. The manufacturer specifically states that an extension cord should not be used to supply power to the motor.
Safety
Always disconnect power when swimmers are present. The Clover Fountain is ARL-tested and designed to comply with applicable UL standards and the National Electric Code when installed as a complete package.
Maintenance & Winter Operation
Routine Maintenance
The Clover Fountain requires very little routine maintenance. When the unit is removed from the water, wash the fountain with high-pressure water and inspect the entire unit to make sure nothing is restricting water flow.
Anchoring Rope Replacement
Quality nylon anchoring rope that is 3/8 inch or thicker should be replaced approximately every five years. Rope condition can be checked whenever the fountain is removed from the water.
Winter Operation
The manufacturer recommends leaving the fountain in the water during winter. Turn off the power while the water is frozen and restore power after the water thaws. Removing the fountain for winter storage can allow the pump seals to dry out and potentially cause damage.
Accessories & Lighting
LED Fountain Lights
Optional LED light kits can be added when purchasing the fountain or installed later. Available options include residential Night Glo LED lighting and programmable color-changing LED sets.
Color-Changing LED Lights
Programmable color-changing LED sets provide multiple lighting colors and patterns. The remote can be used from up to 300 feet away, and the built-in programmable timer allows scheduled operation.
Timers
Optional timers are available for 115V and 230V fountain configurations and can be used to schedule operation while reducing unnecessary runtime.
Warranty
5-Year Motor Warranty
The standard Scott Aerator motor warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions for five years.
Other product components are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
