A Note Before You Order

Select the correct motor voltage and power configuration before purchasing. A GFCI is required, and Scott Aerator recommends using a licensed electrical contractor. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor. For 115V installations, the distance from the main breaker to the fountain should not exceed the applicable cable limit. If swimmers are present, always disconnect power to the fountain.

Scott Aerator Clover Fountain for Medium, Residential Ponds

The Clover Fountain creates a distinctive water display with one prominent center stream surrounded by four angled streams. The pattern spreads across the pond while adding movement, sound, and water circulation to the area around the fountain.

The medium residential Clover Fountain is available with 3/4 HP, 1 HP, and 1-1/2 HP motor configurations. Depending on the selected motor, the fountain can produce a spray from 25 to 40 feet high and 30 to 45 feet wide.

The oil-free stainless steel submersible motor is designed for continuous operation and can be used in both fresh and salt water. Optional LED light sets can be added at the time of purchase or later, allowing the fountain display to continue after sunset.

Installation & Assembly

Included Components

The assembly includes the float platform, pump assembly, stainless steel filter, stainless steel bolts, nuts, washers, and screws needed for assembly.

Assembly

The float is secured to the fountain housing with the supplied stainless steel hardware. The stainless steel filter is installed beneath the fountain using the supplied screws, followed by installation of the fountain head once the unit is positioned in the water.

Anchoring

Two nylon anchoring ropes attach to the fountain's stainless steel eye bolts. The ropes can be secured to shore or connected to two concrete blocks submerged at least 20 feet apart. Anchoring ropes and weights are not included.

Electrical Installation

A GFCI is required. Scott Aerator recommends using a licensed electrical contractor for the electrical connection, and the supplied instructions specifically state that an extension cord must not be used to supply power to the motor.

Maintenance & Winter Operation

Routine Maintenance

The fountain is designed to require little to no routine maintenance. When the unit is removed from the water, the manufacturer recommends washing it with high-pressure water and visually checking the fountain for debris or anything that could restrict water flow.

Winter Operation

The manufacturer recommends leaving the fountain in the water during winter. Turn the power supply off while the water is frozen and restore power after the water thaws. The instructions state that the fountain components can withstand sub-zero conditions without damage.

Anchoring Rope Replacement

Quality nylon anchoring rope that is 3/8 inch or thicker should be replaced approximately every five years. This is also a suitable time to inspect and clean the fountain.

Safety & Electrical Requirements

GFCI Protection

A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter is required for operation. The manufacturer also recommends that electrical installation be completed by a licensed electrical contractor.

Power Cable

Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the motor. Cable size and maximum distance from the motor to the main power source must be selected according to the motor configuration and installation requirements.

Swimmer Safety

Always disconnect power to the fountain when swimmers are present.
