Quick Facts
A Note Before You Order
Select the correct motor voltage and cord configuration for your installation. A GFCI is required, and power must always be disconnected when swimmers are present. For 115V installations, the manufacturer specifies that the distance from the main breaker to the fountain or aerator should not exceed 100 feet. If the distance is greater, select a 230V motor. A licensed electrical contractor should be used for electrical installation.
Scott Aerator North Star Fountain Aerator for Medium, Residential Ponds
The North Star Fountain Aerator combines pond aeration with a distinctive trumpet-shaped spray pattern. It moves large volumes of water at the surface, creating circulation that helps distribute oxygen throughout the pond while also helping move algae and debris away from the immediate surface area.
The medium residential North Star is available with 1 HP or 1.5 HP motor configurations. The 1 HP model is available in 115V or 230V, while the 1.5 HP model uses 230V power. Both configurations use an oil-free stainless steel submersible motor and are designed for continuous operation in fresh or salt water. Optional lighting can also be added to the fountain for nighttime use.
Configuration Guide
North Star 1 HP
Available in 115V or 230V with a 500 GPM flow rate. The 1 HP motor operates at 3,450 RPM and produces an approximately 8-foot-high by 16-foot-wide spray pattern.
The 1 HP configuration is intended for ponds greater than 1/8 acre and requires a minimum pond depth of 36 inches.
North Star 1.5 HP
The 1.5 HP model uses 230V power and provides a 600 GPM flow rate. The motor operates at 3,450 RPM and produces an approximately 12-foot-high by 18-foot-wide spray pattern.
The 1.5 HP configuration is intended for ponds greater than 1/4 acre and requires a minimum pond depth of 38 inches.
